At Open, we define mean as any content that is purposely intended to hurt another user's feelings or any content that makes a user feel uncomfortable. Our goal is to create an environment that is supportive or constructive for everyone. We ask that you be kind, respectful and courteous in your responses, even if your views are different from someone else's. There is always a way to phrase your messages so that you're contributing to the conversation in a healthy way.
If you need to report a message that you believe to be mean, you can tap-and-hold-down on a specific message to reveal an option for reporting that message. Our guide on Reporting Messages explains how that can be done in the app.
Please remember that posting multiple flagged messages may result in a temporary suspension from Open. Suspensions happen based on the total number of messages that have been flagged from your account. If you believe that your message has been flagged in error, please be sure to contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for review.
