Open was created as a supportive platform where all users can feel safe sharing their thoughts, feelings and experiences without the fear of being criticized. It’s important to be open-minded and empathetic when communicating on Open. You can still express courtesy and respectfulness even if you do not agree with someone else’s perspective.
If you need to report a message that you believe to be judgmental, you can tap-and-hold-down on a specific message to reveal an option for reporting that message. Our guide on Reporting Messages explains how that can be done in the app.
Please remember that posting multiple flagged messages may result in a temporary suspension from Open. Suspensions happen based on the total number of messages that have been flagged from your account. If you believe that your message has been flagged in error, please be sure to contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for review.
